Yea, those were the days when the kid(s) in the house were the remote for Dad...you sat in the floor and changed the channel on command, and you didn't give any lip about it either.
Great shows...I could watch them over and over again. I still watch Andy Griffith reruns on the local channel at night.

I used to rush home after school to watch The Three Stooges on the local afternoon cartoon show. And we somehow knew better than to hit each other in the head with hammers, poke each other's eyes, or take a saw to come body part. We had sense enough to know what was real and what was just funny chit.
In our household, we never missed a Jackie Gleason show, Bewitched, I Love Lucy, Bonanza, Rifleman, Gunsmoke, etc. It was nightly family time...something that is missing nowadays.
