Riding Jeans

Take a look at this website for a different kind of jean for both riding and everyday wear.  http://www.gussetclothing.com/

The good thing about the company is that they have ALL sizes...I can never find jeans the right length (29"....help me, I'm shrinking!!) on the shelf...this is my new jean company.  Ordered me a pair of the Regular Fit Stonewashed and a pair of the Black...got them yesterday.  The fit is loose enough, but not baggy.  The main thing is that diamond shaped triangle in the crotch, allowing the "equipment" some more room and not having all those seams coming together in the wrong place.  40 bucks isn't bad for a good pair of quality made blue jeans...plenty of belt loops too.  They run true to size, and you can tell a HUGE difference when your're sitting.  Gives the boys some extra space... They've also just released a pair of Kevlar reinforced jeans, but they are pricey and look kinda weird, but I'm sure if you went down, you wouldn't be concerned too  much about how they were looking if they protected your A$$....

After the girlfriend saw them, she ordered her a pair for riding, as her regular jeans "bothered" her Sunday when we rode about 200+ miles.  So I ordered me another pair along with her order.

Just up the road from me and I've never heard of them. I just ordered a pair and am looking forward to trying them. If I like them, their company store is just a nice 150 mile ride from my door. Gives me another excuse to tell the wifie, "gotta run out and grab a couple pair of jeans, see after a while" [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Found out last week Frye boots are made right around the corner from me, 20 miles across the Mississippi River in Arkansas. Went by their company store the other day and left with 2 pair of boots that I didn't need but had to have.
I love this site, where else can I go and people help my money fly out of my wallet so quickly. You guys a worse on my Visa than my wife is. ;D

Certainly this site doesn't help anyones OCD for motorcycle paraphenalia but I can save a few bucks for those looking at kevlar jeans.
Draggin jeans (www.dragginjeans.com)  has kevlar pants for $89. No, you don't get the little "diamond in the crotch" but kevlar everywhere else. Hmmmm...maybe they should think about that for future products - kevlar crotches to protect the jewels.. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Anyway, I have them and use them all the time. Thankfully, hadn't had to "test" the kevlar. knock wood.

Yes and Yes. They feel bit heavier (in "total" weight) as compared to standard jeans. I guess I would relate it in terms of a "thicker" slightly stiffer feeling fabric where the kevlar is located (ass, knees). The uncovered portions are 'regular' denim.

When things get warm and humid, the kevlar areas get a "tiny bit" itchy due to the fabric sticking to you but nothing uncomfortable where I would have to rip these things off. You just "notice" where the kevlar parts are versus the regular denim. I've worn them in heat almost up to 100 F without issue (so long as you're moving). Like anything, sitting at a traffic light sucks no matter what weather condition and what you're wearing! For winter time however, the extra padding is welcomed.

As always, there's always going to some trade off between extra padding and comfort.

That is what I thought, was thinking about might be nice especially in winter, thanks for the input  John
