Hello all,
I was over in your wonderful country in Febuary this year and met nothing but helpful people going out of the way to assist...anyway I purchased my dream in Orlando, and then travelled across your wonderful country to Los Angeles, via the snow in Flagstaff and an amazing street party in New Orleans where I had the priveledge of staying at the Royal Sonesta...left New Orleans at 5:45am and Bourbon Street was still overcrowded...they sure know how to party :orange: :mango:
Anyway, I stayed a couple of days at Hunting Beach, (you sure have some fine looking ladies)...Thank you for the hospitality America, I cannot wait to see you again, finally picked up my bike from our compliers and went for a run up to Brisbane (about 2200 miles round trip) for a mates surprise birthday party and nearly got drowned coming home, blasted rain...(dirtied my baby)...so people...enough rave for the moment

What was involved getting your bike over to Aussie land?
Shipping, Customs etc.

G'day A,
I dropped her off at LA to an exporter organised by Chopaweeza Enterprises in Sydney, who shipped it to Aus and then handed it to the compliers.
They then changed to new tyres, speedo headlight etc  etc and charged me $3000.00 to do it...the govt charged me around the same in GST (TAX)
and of course shipping was $1400...what annoyed me most is that I was charged $1450 for the first years registration (stamp duty) and $670.00/year after, but I got a bargain on insurance at $670.00 (for $40,000.00 replacment value here)....on my trip back from Brisbane, I happily received a $407.00 speeding fine, the coppa reduced it from $980.00 and auto cancellation of licence...(yep..can still sell ice to Eskimo's)...still hurts though and I was flying so as I said... (I musn't speed officer)...he just shook his head and said I was a silly prick....probably right too....She does fly though...
