WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!! OLe HUb thats exactally right. The MOCO must have all engines approved by the EPA. Emmmmmmmmissions and noise.

While at the CVO show in Sturgis, I had the opportunity to talk one on one with a few of the motor engineers. What supprised me was in order for Harley to continue with the air cooled motor the EPA not only made sure the emissions were met but also noise emissions. One engineer told me that when they installed gear drive cams in the motor that it produced a noise level that was too high for the EPA.
I never knew that the guidelines for noise were soo tight.

I know that those are stock figures and more then likely on the conservative side, but my 103 is doing much better then that now. Think I'll keep what I got. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
