XM/IPod question
« on: August 12, 2012, 04:02:14 AM »

I notice when I listen to the XM from my 665 GPS it has considerably less volume when I listen to the IPod. Why is that and does it have the same quality?

Make sure the volume on the GPS is turned to 100%.

Goto Menu
Goto Volume
Goto Master Volume
Touch Mixer

You will see
Master
Navigation
Media

Turn all 3 to 100%

First do what Jim said on the GPS settings and make sure the line output is up to 100%, just follow his instructions because I believe out of the box they are all under max.
If that doesn't do it then install a boostaroo to the output on the GPS. I did and have to keep the volume on the output lower now to match what comes from the normal head unit functions.

If you're okay with the XM volume on the GPS and just want the Ipod to match it when switching over go to Ipod settings and turn down line output.

My GPS media was too low for me so I installed a boostaroo.
