If it's a 2012 - 120r motor, it has the upgraded billet cam plate and high volume oil pump.  The lifters are SE lifters, but are not made by JIMS.

When I installed my 120r, I replaced the cams with T-Man 662-1 cams, upgraded the clutch with a BDL kit (purchased from Jim) along witha VPC 92T variable clutch kit, installed a 55mm HPI throttle body with 5.3 injectors and installed a Jagg 10 row oil cooler...

I'm at 15K on the motor and am happy!   :)

Scott, how much did you clip off the heads and what exhaust did you end up using?    Are you still using the Rev Performance tuning device?

I didn't touch the heads.  I've used both D&D Boarzilla and Fuel Moto Jackpot exhaust.  I'm sure the Boarzilla produced more power, but the Jackpot is quieter...  And yes - I'm using the Rev. Perf. EMS...

Sadbunbar,

It is a 2012, part number 19220-12, looks like it will be very similar to your build. however I have the HD SE 58MM TB, will go with the 5.3 injectors. Exhaust right now I have the Dragula 2:1 set up.

Thanks,

I would also recommend an aftermarket clutch basket. I just put the Barnettt one on mine. I have the Barnett Scorpion clutch as well.

When the flywheel halves actually slip on the crankpin, causing the C/L of the crankshaft to no longer come straight thru the middle of both sprocket, and pinion shafts, causing an out-of-round condition, that raises general havoc.

Is this where welding a crank makes it stronger?   Why aren't they welded at the factory?

Bored and talking with a parts guy the other day in WV while getting a new rear tire on the road.  Anyway, we were talking about the 120R engine which does not have any warranty.  They (Charlies H-D) have sold a few of the Jims 130 engines which do have a factory warranty for 3 or 4 years.

Should somebody standing behind what they built be of any consideration.

If you want to buy a Jims 131, i hope you own a boat.  After a 1,000 miles they become nothing good but a boat anchor.  You will have problems with this motor and then you will learn that Jims did a few preparatory things, so unless you enjoy buying their junk your basically stuck with them for life of that crapy motor..  If you want a bullet proof engine at less money in the long run, consider an RB Orca engine, they come in many flavors, the 126 is one hell of a brut..

Once trued/welded they stay put.
Not welded at the Moco.

Were the 2002 and earlier welded or just timken bearing?  There seems to be a whole lot less noise in the original TC88s before 2003.

Thanks,
