How did you get you hi beam amed?  When my low is perfect my high beam is looking for airplanes???

Scott

Most people that I know that use HIDs never use their highs. I know I don't In fact I never use the driving lights I installed either, because the HID lows wash them out too.

Mine is just fine, Scott - not a problem I encountered at all.

The OP mentioned a very high cost for the HID's...are you SURE you're not talking about the LED headlight and running lights for the Batwings that HD sells?  They will run you well over $700.  A HID setup is MUCH cheaper than that.  And you really don't need the HID on the High Beam.  The only issue with the HID's is that your garage door opener might not work right, but there's a couple of workarounds for that.

So I wonder why harley sold the dual hid kit?   Does anyone make a hi beam bulb to match the color of the hid?

And you really don't need the HID on the High Beam.

Around here you do - the main beam on both the standard dual reflector headlams that HD fits in the US and the single reflector one sold here is pathetic. Our roads dictate that if you need to ride in the dark, you need to see a long way ahead, and the dip beam is not enough.

They didn't, Scott - their HID headlamp was HID on dip only - main beam was a conventional halogen.
