We all know in a little over a week we will finally know what the MOCO has up their sleeves as far as the 2013 CVO models are concerned.

I have been on the fence for over a month now looking at a new 2012 SEULTRA in Saphire and Silver. I have a 2009 that I just don't ride. It seems to me the 2012 sets a lot different in terms of height and seat height. Tire size may also be a factor. The Dealer is bending over backwards to make the sale and to install extras. I went to my regular Dealer and they won't touch the deal. They also don't have the bike in the color. It seems that the orange and blacks are out there and he has one. BUT WON'T DEAL. They will discount the new unit and give me book on the 09 but this new dealer I am working is beating the deal by $2000.00

SOOOOOOOOO tomorrow might be the day I park a new CVO ULTRA in the garage!!!!! WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO???

You're coming on this site to ask whether or not you should spend money?

How's come you don't ride the '09?  I can't speak about the differences between the two years, but the '12 is a freakin' tall bike to me!  Still, I love the one I have and am soooo glad I got it.  

Get it, and then if you think it sucks, you can $h!t can it on a '13 next week.

If you like the color, then saving the 2K is worth it.  BUT, if you really want the O/B, WTF is 2K when you're talking about 35K + in real out of pocket expenses?  I wouldn't pay 2K OVER MSRP to get a color, but all other things being more or less equal, get the color you really want.

The bikes are tall though...

Get the color you love. To me getting the color I would want would be first priority over cost. I have sat on a new 2012 and it did not seem to be any taller than my 09' but compared to other models they are tall. My 09 is taller than my old Road King. Others are right life is to short.

Money comes and money goes......but, you gotta live with the color.   Get the color you want!

you could see if you could stall them for a week and see what the 13s look like.  if they still have the bike you might get it for less than the 2k from before.   But you 9 trade in could drop also.  So the big question is are you a gambling man.  Some one else could get the bike.  You may like a 13 more, or not,  or the deal could be worse after the 13s come out.  If its was me,  I would get the color that I like,  for a good paint job is expensive.  So painting your 09 would be a option.  But you have a 4 year old bike that is the color that you want.  But its out of warranty.  I better stop now cause I am sounding like a sales man.  Jmho.  I bought my 11 cause i liked the flames and was afraid that the 12 would not have them.  good thing i did cause i was correct the 12 are nice but for me I like the 11 better but thats all personal prefrence.  just like you wanting the color you want.     Todd

Well the color I want is WICKED SAPHIRE!!!! It is the better deal. I will be making a trip to get it today.

You all were right. The only thing I worried about that the 13 colors would knock my socks off. I am sure there will be no major changes in the bikes. As far as height goes the 12 seems to sit just a tad lower and seems to fit my A$$ a lot better.

OK time to load up the 09 and head north!!!!

good luck, glad to see some one taking the better deal instead of staying loyal to his local dealer. If it's what you want and you don't think there will be any significant changes in the new model, what is there to think about. Two thousand dollars is still alot of money. My daughter is looking at a new car and doesn't want to argue over a hundred dollars, I asked her if I threw a one hundred dollar bill on the sidewalk she wouldn't make a dive for it??? The fight would be on with her and anyone else that saw it hit the pavement.
