Thanks for the pictures, nice set up but being a Road Rod owner and a previous sidecar owner as well I would not want the side hack on my bike. Would like the extra gas though.

I am not sure if a trike would solve the problem. You still need to swing a leg over somehow..... try a scooter

Ice, you didn't notice my comment about the fuel cell in the side car. He did a nice job addressing the V Rod small tank issue.

Same here... I didn't get the "It's a VROD" comment and then scrolling down the the pic that showed the left side, the  came on.

Definitely a well thought out project, but I agree, he may as well go all out and put hard bags and the tourpack on to round it out.

lol Talking about trikes.  We just sold the girlfriends bike cause she goes on rides with me and when we get back home she is so tired some times she for gets to put the jiffey stand down and drops the bike over.  Its happend to many times now and I am tired of changing mirrors and turn signals.  Lucky she hasnt gotten hurt.  She feels embarassed about it.   I have told her not to worry about it.  I have seen guys do it before.  and I have seen people for get to put their feet down at stop lights.  So now she wants a trike.  She is killing me.  from a 1200 sportser to soft tail to lowered road king. Then to a damn honda Shadow  Cause she liked the color.  That she Never road one we got this bike.  So Now we are on the look out for a pretty trike that she likes.  Go figure.

Definitely never gave much thought to riding a trike, but I have a friend, a little gal at about 5'2" who's 60-something and a friend of hers decided they ought to start riding, so they went and took a m/c safety class and she loved it. I looked around on line for her and found her this "cute" trike for her she fell in love. I flew from Colorado SPrings to Dallas and rode it home for her.

Hard to get used to the steering, and you lose a lot of get up & go (and range... don't ask how I found THAT out  ) with it having to push those back wheels, but all in all, it wasn't that bad. Now at least I know if my knees or something go and I can't keep a 2-wheeler up, I'll have a back up plan to keep my face in the wind.
