Boardmembers, I have a 2005 SEEG purchased May 2005 at Spitzies harley Davidson in Albany NY. The bike just turned 11200 miles and the color is RED (The Best Color) and has the following options installed on it: I am intrested in knowing what you all think I could sell the bike outright and what you think I could get on a trade for a 2007 Screamin Eagle Ultra Classic?

Here are the options and also a few photos

1) Aftermarket handelbar mounted XM Radio
2) Harley Radar Detector
3) Bag Spoilers with lights form harley
4) Tour Pack Spoiler with light
5) Tour Pac Luggage Rack
6) Freedom Pipes True Dual Pipes with power Commander
7) Progressive 440 Shocks, (Have also Harley Airshocks)
Screamin Eagle 6 Speed (Installed just in January 2007)
9) New Rear Tire just 3000 miles ago
10) Front Lights (Head Light and Spot) french trim rings
11) All Turning Signals have the shaded lens caps with visors
12) Removed air tempreture gauge and replaced with Spun Oil Temp Guage
13) Rear Bag Crash Bars
14) Deer Whistle installed with on off switch hooked into accessories switch
15) Read Neon Light set up with 7 neon tubs with wireless remote installed by Doctor Neon
17) Highway Pegs from Kyrakan
18) The Bra is optional as I may keep it for my Ultra
19) Removeable Tour Pack with Locks
20) etc etc  just too much minor stuff to list must see.

So if you all can respond and advsie with your thoughts of a trade iun vale versus a sell out value it woudl be greatly apprecaited.

But I have to ask why you would even consider getting rid of the best looking CVO even produced?

 IMHO I be expecting around $30k from a private sale as is.

 But if I was to trade it in the "Stealer" most likely will offer around $25k and you get the sales tax break.........netting you another $1750 which all together might not turn out all bad if you strip the bike back down to near stock before trading it in.
 Then you could sell some of those take-off goodies to your brother's here for a few extra bucks!

That is a nice looking bike......saw it in Rapid City.  But I don't think it quite stands up to the SEEG. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

The NADA blue book was revised on August 1st. The 04's droped like a rock. 24k and some change. 05 a bit more. Take your options off. The only one that will bring you money is the 6 speed. The others are THE BONUS PLAN for the buyer. If someone will give you extra money for the extras consider yourself lucky. THE DEALER WON'T!!!! Engine mods hold some value as does the transmission.

I have bought and sold many bikes.....most of your options listed will not help your resale.  Take off what you can if you can use them on your new ride.  The shocks and 6 speed will add some.  Your mileage will hurt you frankly.  The market is soft unfortunately because HD has somewhat flooded the market and people want to spend the $32K on new bikes..that they can finance.  Same thing happened on the 03 anniversary bikes.
I have the same  bike as you.  Take a look at what some other members have there lower mileage bikes listed for.  You should expect to get n$27K or so, maybe a little more if you have the race tuner which I don't recall seeing.  .

Cherry is the only color to go wth this year the Pumkin Black and orange does nothing for me and the Blue is ahhh you know too panzie looking...
