Well boys I just got back from my dealer and placed a deposit on a 2013 Anniversary CVO Roadglide.......sight unseen of course.  I got the first one that comes in.....whatever it looks like. If I don't like it I can just say NO.

FWIW: The dealer said that all of the new 2013 models will be revealed on the HD web site at the same time all of the dealers are seeing them in Las Vegas.

Up until now I have been a CVO Street Glide rider so this will be my first Roadglide. But, I have been told that once I ride it, I'll never go back.

Regards

Jerry

You'll be throwing rocks at the bat wing bikes soon. Welcome to the shark club. I'm going for the Road King CVO, no Aniversary colors for me though.

Welcome to "the dark side"...

X2. Sharks over bats.  Jerry, now that you have seen pictures of at least 2 of them, what do you think?  Just curious because you have a deposit down.

All I can say is "TEST RIDE"!  I wasted a lot of money believing the hype of how much folks loved their sharks.  Turned out, I couldn't make mine a viable touring bike after 2 seats, 3 windshields and 2 helmets.  I just couldn't get over the pounding the turbulance gave me.

The best mod I did to that bike was to change out the fairing to a batwing.  Took the bike from miserable to great in $1700!  You might also check in with Fireguy.  I belive he did the same thing with a '09 TRSE.

I get that folks like their sharks.  I don't understand why, but after riding mine and test riding some since, I can only explain it as different strokes for different folks.

Please, take the time for a test ride!  It can easily confirm or dispell your desire for the shark.

For the record, I LOVE the look of the sharks.  That's why I keep doing test rides to see if they fixed them yet.

I can't stress this enough...take one for a test ride!

I tried to buy a CVO Road Glide but my dealer told me I would have to be on social security and a member of AARP or they wouldn't sell me one with a shark front end?  Just saying...... :nixweiss:

All it takes to make the RG windless is the right windshield and a set of Sancho's Wings. In the summer it is too windless, you have to get a shield with a wide top like a clearview or wind vest and of course, the right height.

My sense is that all of the CVO anniversary colors will be great. I think a lot of extra attention was paid to the anniversarry bikes- colors and badging to make them even more unique for us. We'll see in about a week now.

I am a long time subscriber to Easy Riders Magazine and have the current issue. Unfortunately the very poor quality photos leave all of us guessing about what the new CVO's really look like in the flesh.

Like most everyone here I have been riding Harleys for a LONG time and over the many, many years I have been pleased with the continuous improvements each model year brings.  I will admit that I wish change and refinement was a faster process but we're getting there.

If you haven't been, you owe yourselves a trip to the Milwaukee and York plants now that the high tech assembly processes are up and running. Remember the workers and management are US and these days more than ever, they realize that their livelihood and future are directly linked to customer satisfaction.

With some coaching from the members here I'll post up pictures just as soon as I have the bike.

Now I will need some guidence on a few extras to enhance ride enjoyment and performance.

Windscreen: ????   I'm listening........

EXHAUST: 2 into 1  D&D Fat Cat or Reinhart or V&H High Performance

CAMS: Andrews Woods or the new Kury's

TUNER: IF I need it -- Super SERT or TTS.

Regards

Jerry
