I don't believe that for a minute.  The guy who had to wear a girdle in season 2 of Star Trek would never do that.  It's not plastic.  It's all Spock from Vulcan and his slingshotting around the sun (twice, can't forget the movie with the whales).

So true. He's an awful actor, but has stood the test of time, and now even more people love him. He made a career out of Kirk and Hooker. No one else could pull that off.

Plastic and a rug!  My cousin does his "hair" and has for years.  He tells me Shatner is one of the nicest and most generous people in Hollywood.

William Shatner has truly become larger than life - with all of his TV and movie roles, the Priceline gig, his band, and most importantly his parodying of HIMSELF. I think he's one of the coolest and most recognizable people on the entire planet, and he does not appear to be afraid to take on anything.

I wonder if he rides a Harley?

I believe it was during his skit on SNL he coined the phrases, "Move out of your parents basement. You, have you ever kissed a girl? Get a life".

Apparently a lot of Trekkies took that skit personally and were hurt. I was not one of them.

I was never a fan of the TJ Hooker role.  Tried to play that too straight for what he was and was becoming.  And some of the Trek movies were just so bad.  But he really cemented a career (and apparently had great fun doing it) playing Denny Crane on Boston Legal.  That was a fun show.  Shatner stole that show over and over and over again.
