Question on a 08 with a blinker issue
« on: August 15, 2012, 11:21:44 PM »

A friend of mine was on a trip with his 08 UC when he noticed that his dash right turn signal was coming on dim, not bright.  The blinker was not turned on and when he used the brakes it blinked very slowly like a pulse.  He was riding in a light rain and we are thinking it could be the dielectric greese on one or all of the bulbs.

Any ideas or input would be helpful.

BTW... Brought the bike to the dealership and ran an error code test and found nothing.

Thanks,

Topper, Three things to check first are the front right turn signal bulb, Turn signal/brake light module and
check for pinch wires under the front master cylinder clamp. Let us know what you find.   axil

Water can run down from the running lights into the back of the turn signal housing for the front signals and you won't know it until you have an issue.  The only cure is to put some clear silicone sealer around the wires going into the signal.

That would be a good place to start looking, at least...
