I live in San Diego (El Cajon is a part of SD) and it is insane how much they gorge your eyes out there!. $10,000 over MSRP? Really??? Everyone I know out here absolutely hates these guys for doing things like this. They were bought out months ago and when the new owners came in they made a big deal about changing the "perception" of the store and then they do this? The only other one I have seen close to this much over sticker was in Hawaii... Sorry guys, the "new perception" isn't working out so well...
When I went to buy my 12 SERGC they wanted $7500 over when San Diego Harley would sell it to me for $1000 over and El Cajon wouldn't trade with them. I ended up going to Wildhorse Harley in Bend OR and when I told them (El Cajon) they couldn't care less, they said "someone will pay it".
My brother in law went in last week and told them he would buy it if they would just get "somewhat reasonable" and they basically told him to pound sand with the same story, "someone will pay it"...
As I have said on a couple of other threads, the service I have received from both the dealer were I ended up buying my bike (Wildhorse HD) and whee I now service it and do all the mods (San Diego HD) have been absolutely "World Class" and it makes me furious that there is these "short term thinking" dealers out there that try and completely take advantage of a situation.
