The RG I test rode was a stock 2012 RG. Maybe I'm ignoring the height because I like RKs. I did stiffen up the rear springs on my RK about 10 turns.

The mailbox windshield directs the wind right past my ears. Even a full face helmet didn't help. The noise is so loud that over 30mph the lowers mounted speakers and saddlebag speakers are useless. Now with the windshield off my 2005 RK on the 2013 CVO, the sound is very good, even at 80mph. The mailbox windshield is too low for nighttime riding when bugs come right at my mouth and are not deflected by that windshield. I've never had that problem with stock windshields. I've ordered a new one for the 13, so the 05 can be sold with a stock windshield.

I choose the Custom Aux lights 69818-06 because it includes the trim ring and wires long enough for a complete install, not the other kit that butt connects to existing wires for those that have a stock RK and want to replace stock with Custom lamps. The bullet turn signals look great under those Custom Aux lights.

That could be.  I just know my RK and RG are the same exact height.  This is my first RK and it feels small to me compared to my RG.  That is not a bad thing, just something I noticed.  They sure handle a lot a like, which is a great thing.

A 3/4 has helped with the stock shield.  In the summer short day trips 250 miles or less I would be ok with it and my 1/2 helmet, but lots of wind.  I am too tall for it.  Pretty much for some on under 5'8" it would be fine.  I am sure I will get a stock height or similar King windshield.

How tall is the stock height RK shield?  How tall are you?

I am still thinking about doing the passing lamps and the bullets under them like yours.

20" is stock. On my first RK, I had replaced the 20" with a 22", but that was too tall for me.

I like the slightly smoked, as it is still clear, but looks a little richer. I'm 5'11". I use a half-helmet with the 3" face shield, so the windshield and face shield just about meet at the same horizontal, so my face is shielded from road debris.

Thanks for the reply.  When I wear a beanie, most the time I only wear sunglasses.  I am 6'1" want to be able to see over, but no wind to eyes / face

1st, Ultra, Typhoon is by far the nicest looking colour, suits the bike  :2vrolijk_21:
2nd, Road Glide, orange is the pick  :2vrolijk_21:
3rd, Breakout, Red looks nice, have seen one in person  :2vrolijk_21:
4th, Road King, not quite sure, looks like the front end is missing some thing and the screen has a mail slot  :nixweiss:

Glad I got my 2012 Citrus  ;D
