I just noticed the anniv model doesn't have as much chrome on the engine as the blue and red paint ones. What's up with that???  Dunno what to do now :o

I think there are some very nice color combos but I am willing to bet it's like every other year. Many people don't get enthused by the MOCO photos but once the bikes show up and people can see them in person they change to liking some bikes.
That being said I didn't see any reason to sell my 2009 to get a 2013.

I see everyone is giving the 2013's mixed reviews....include me in that group. I prefer chrome wheels, rocker boxes and covers, not the blacked out engine look. Makes me glad I bought my 2012 SESG a couple months ago!

Opinions are like you-know-what... but I think that big vent right in the middle of the SERK windshield is one of the FUGLIEST things I've ever seen on a CVO... or on any Harley, ever. It completely RUINS the lines of the windshield, and looks like a last-minute afterthought.

If I bought a 2013 SERK, getting rid of that monstrosity would be my VERY FIRST mod.  :vrolijk27:

X2.  I didn't know if it was just me, but  I agree on the "fugly" assessment.  Plus, it's a small windshield...I imagine you'll get plenty of wind w/o the vent (the '03 SERK I owned had a small windshild that was similar and it was useless, IMO).  Also, HD put a vent in the windshield to give the rider more air (I guess) and then adds lowers which take air away.  Odd combination.

Yep, on the RK, only the anniversary color gets the black motor.  I think it looks great on the RK with those colors, but it would not look good with the other two RK colors.

Then count me among the few... but I like it!  Specially in these Anniversary colors... :2vrolijk_21:

I fully agree with you, love it in the Anniversary color.

From what I read, and what the GM of my dealer who is at the show says about the vent is it looks pretty good in person.  He also says it is adjustable to move the air above the riders head to reduce buffeting.

In theory it sounds good.

I may soon see.

How about this?

On a site with 18000 members what if 150 members donated $250.00 each to a "2013 SERGC for Naitram" fundraiser?
Here's my rationale,

       150 X $250.00 = $37,500.00

Bike 2013 Anniv SERGC out the door                                                 $35,00.00 (includes tax, tag, title, shipping, prep)
Fullsac header pipe and 2.25 baffles and TTS w/Fullsac map         $1,500.00  (parts and installation)
Misc. upgrades                                                                                    $1,000.00 ( gps mount, new mirrors "ha ha")
Total with delivery to the Naitram castle.                                    $37,500.00

I'm sure some could say, get 300 members at $125.00 or 38 at $1,000.00 but the end results remain the same.
Without Naitram there would be no CVOHarley.com.
I'll do the first $250.00 and manage the purchase and will keep the accounting open for all involved.
Out of 18,000 members is there 149 other members that have gotten $250.00 of pleasure from this site?
Any monies over the $37,500.00 will go to the site.

I'm ready to test the waters.
This post will probably make Naitram mad, but who deserves a new CVO more than our founder?
Pm me if interested.

If you have a better idea of how to accomplish this please PM me.
If your a hater and don't like the idea, PM me and we can work you through it.
I think it's a great idea, but more importantly do at least 149 other members think the same?

And to Naitram, your garage has been in contact with my garage. And you know, we have to keep the garages happy!

The ultimate Street Glide? Buy an anniversary edition Ultra, make the tour pak removable, upgraded to the anniversary edition RK rear fender, bags, tail lights, etc (factory painted to match) and you have a pretty bad arss bike!!

Have to see the colors in person. Don't really like the photos. And I guess I just like more chrome than the black on engine parts and forks----personal preference.

I think HD is trying to market to the younger generation with some of their ideas or trying to copy the BMW and get some of that crowd. Wait until they come along with built in Iphones.
