100,000 miles?
« on: August 25, 2012, 04:11:04 PM »

was at local stealer today to talk to service manager about the brake bleeder coming lose in spokane...

was hoping to see some 13 CVOs in person but they dont have any yet.

was also getting my 80k hog miles certified at 84k+ on the SERK and as much as i have joked in the past that i would keep the SERK until i hit 100,000 miles its actually starting to look like a reality in the next 2 years with no current plans to trade up.

got my wondering does anyone here have over 100,000 on a CVO?

Sorry, but I too have logged 110,000... but on 4 different bikes.  '79 Honda CM400T / '87 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 / '08 H-D Wide Glide AE / '11 CVO Ultra

Between my two Harleys though I only have 37,000.  18,750 on the Wide Glide (traded) and 18,300 currently on Sheila.   8)

I am at about 825,000.  Now lets see, that must be somewhere areound 50 years and I have lost track of how many bikes  :nixweiss:

I do have 53k on my 06 CVO and since I am down to 2 bikes, maybe 3 years & I will be at 100k.

Naitram,

Michelle has 82k on the original 04, and 13k on the 11.   The 04 isnt getting ridden as much as it used too.

I have a friend/co-worker who buys a Electra Glide Ultra Classic (not CVO) every 4-5 yrs.  When it hits 100,000 miles, he sells it to another co-worker and buys another new one.  Several of his previous bikes are still in the parking lot, still being ridden, but not as many miles per year as he did.

His bike is his only vehicle, he doesn't have a daily driver.  His wife has a Harley pickup truck, she brings him to work on days when weather is icy/snowy, otherwise he rides every day.

I happened to at sunrise hd a few weeks ago.  I saw a bike in there for service that had 108,000 on it.   Not a CVO.  It was an electraglide classic.    Looked pretty good too.  Now that's riding.  :2vrolijk_21:
