Thanks for the kind words Mark.  We don't have many bike shows around here, plus I'm afraid I'd get my feelings hurt if I didn't win.  I have a pretty high opinion of Kermit...

I like the water bottle attachment so getting a set too

I use Harley's "saddlebag guard bags", push the outside flap into the bag, and use them as water bottle holders.

Unfortunately, I have layed my bike down twice already. I am not so sure the guard would protect the bag from a lay over, but it would give me a location to grab to lift the bike back up. I do not want to clutter up the look, but it may be a necessary evil. Would like to see some pictures if you have them. Thanks.

Yep, I can see all these things causing the tires to come out from underneath a person...I hit an oil patch once on the road when going into a corner.  I could feel the tires sliding right out from under me when all the sudden the tires grabbed dry asphalt and it set the mc straight up.  Scarry chit it was

  My wife and I justed returned from vacationing in the smoky mountains. We were headed up the mountain over to cherokee, NC. We stopped at a pull off to take some pictures. I was going to turn and back the bike into a parking spot and made the mistake of grabbing the front brake while the handbars were turned to the right and before you can say "oh chit" it was on the ground. No real damage, but I am certainly not the type of person that thinks it will never happen again. I have heard many times "There are two types of motorcycle riders, ones that have dropped their bike and ones that will." To the ones that it has not happened to, I hope your luck continues.
  I got my guards mounted today. I like the look. I do appreciate all the pictures and feedback.

Bubblehead....what did you do to your saddlebag latches to replace the reflector with chrome?

Actually I bought the bike that way. Really it's just take out the reflector and stick in the replacement piece of your choice. There are lots of differant styles on ebay.
