2013 Ultra Anniversary

Came in yesterday and i rode it home last night. I will try and post photos later. The bike looks absolutely great with the black out and accsent colors. This is the first one in Colorado and the crowd at the dealership was in awe. Photos you have seen will not do this bike justice. We could not find the gold key and box. Does anyone know if it comes in a special place and we just overlooked? ??

From all the information so far, the gold (actually brass...there, that should make some feel better) key is not included in the CVO "extras" for 2013.  This was first mentioned in the discussion on the 2013 CVO Breakout which doesn't have a "key" anyway.  For the Breakout, they offer a gold (probably brass, too) coin that gets you and 3 others into the HD museum...whoopee...
Other threads on this site for the remaining 2013 CVO line mention the gold key is not included for the 2013 CVO's as the dealer delivers the bike but can't find the key....tells me there ain't no gold key... :nixweiss:

I am not sure about the 2013's, but the key was in a small black box in the Tour Pak of my 2012 CVO Ultra.  If you really, really want one bad enough, the dealer can order it for you for $89.99, part #71031-04

For 38K you would think it would be included......and at least have a hint of gold. I know I know i have one from my 11 cvo convertable and it is high polished brass...still

Ultrarider1 is correct.  They did away with the "gold" keys for the 2013 model year.  Instead, they come with a commemorative coin....which serves as a pass to the museum.  Lame.

I'm unclear as to how the key doesn't fall into this category as well?  With the minor exception of having it removed from the "CVO Package", what in the world would you do with one?

Congrats on the new bike, looks GREAT !!

I have a question though i have been thinking on. Why the hell do we pay so much for these motorcycles. Don't get me wrong i have one & love it just wonder why. A guy could buy 2 goldwings with lots of goodies for what a CVO costs.
