The rear is already lowered from the factory, and lowering it further is not highly recommended.  The front is standard height and you could lower that end 1" with kits from H-D or Progressive Suspension (Monotubes).

Why do you want to lower it?

Hmmmmm, I'm only 5'1" and do not have any trouble with mine.  I did go to our local shoe repair store and they put a thicker heal (3/4") on my Harley Boots.  It was just enough to give me the footing to pull the bike backwards when needed. Much cheaper $$ than changing anything on the bike.

Did you install their std height tubes 31-2500?
or the lowered tube kit 31-2501?

I was running the old White Bros 1 1/2" kit in the front with a 21" wheel and air ride in the rear.

With some air in the rear shocks.

The lowered tube kit using the 1" option..you have a choice of lowering 1" or 2" although not many people lower 2". Don't want to run into fender clearance issues.

According to Progressive technical, the standard monotube kit 31-2500 will lower the front 1/2" below standard height due to "sag" that's Progressives
spring design....Their lowering kit 31-2501 installing their 1" drop configuration is really 1.5" lower than OE standard......so based on Progressives specs the
31-2501 kit is designed for the 21" front tire/wheel installs to balance the front end geometry......

I found this out the hard way on my '12 SESG,,, installing the 31-2501 lowering kit,,, all said & done i removed the lowering kit 31-2501 & re installed the standard height monotube kit 31-2500 & the bike sits the way it should & handles the way it should  :2vrolijk_21:

I would definitely install the monotubes again, just a matter of using the correct parts for the correct application.

I am 5'8" and would love to find a option to lower my 2012 SESG about an inch. I still would like to keep the same ride and need the option to be safe with the least cost possible. Primary objective is not improving the looks as much as improving my stability at stops.

Install the Std. height Progressive Monotube kit 31-2500
That will lower the front 1/2" from stock. The kit comes with four "C" pre load spacers, two for each fork slider... If you install one pre load spacer instead
of two, that will drop an additional 1/4" for a total of 3/4" lower than OE height.

Ride quality is night & day from stock.  :2vrolijk_21:
