I'm working on a list of goodies for you to add right now but my fingers got tired from all the typing before I could finish it.  After a good nights sleep I'll be all rested and will get it to you tomorrow.  Hope the credit limit on your plastic is real high.  You're gonna need it.  LOL and welcome aboard.   [smiley=banana.gif]

Dozer,
Welcome to the site, and congrats on your new scooter. What has been previously posted is so true. The more you come here, the more stuff you will have to have. Don't worry; don't fight it, because it has happened to us all. Don't forget to take your camera with you when you pick up your scooter, and show us pictures of the newborn. ;D

The bike scheduled delivery time is up in the air at this point.  It could be as late as 6:00 pm

What Fired00d said is absolutely 100% correct. Below is a list of items I found that my dealer will be replacing at their cost, not mine. These items were found BEFORE I took delivery. I spent almost two hours going over the bike before taking it outside of the dealership. They seemed a bit annoyed by this but I really didn't care.

1. Bubble in paint on batwing fairing - On Order
2. Small imperfection in chrome on front fork - On Order
3. Tear in clear plastic covering on front braided brake line - On Order
4. Scratch in windscreen - On Order
5. Imperfection in chrome on luggage rack - On Order
6. Imperfection in chrome on horn cover - On Order

In addition to the above, the dealer found several other small items during the PDI that they are going to take care of.

It's a real disappointment to think that a "CVO" bike that is supposed to be "hand assembled" apart from the normal assembly process at the plant would have as many cosmetic issues as you found on your bike.  How does the person making the assembly just ignore the problems you noted and just throw the part on the bike anyway.

I've been to York, PA and seen the CVO assembly area.  It is separate from the assembly line (or was in 2003), but if the folks in that CVO assembly area don't take some special pride in their jobs and inspect the parts that they're putting on the bike, the dealers are going to receive bikes with issues.  It also sounds like a quality control problem between HD and their vendors.

I'm glad you found the problems and are getting them corrected.  I'm sure they didn't enjoy your inspection, but after finding the first issue, I'm sure that you looked a little closer as you found other items.  I would have.  With the bucks you spend on these CVOs you'd like to think they'd be flawless, but we know better.
