I have a 2011 FLTRUSE. Had the 2". Went down to 1.75"   Much  better.  Still have the 2" if I want to go louder.   Maybe something to do with age and respect for my neghbors, I am 62

I did the 2 inch and put the insulation from the HD baffles on and they sound great. Just right when you take off and does not hurt the radio during cruse.

I had 1.75s and changed to 2.0s.  I like both.
2.0s don't really sound louder at highway speeds as the sound stays behind you.
I notice the volume increase at lower speeds and during acceleration.
Both sound good.

I went with the 2.25 SD with HD packing in and really there not that loud (rineharts are still much louder) ...I have my stock header pipe with cats still on.
can still hear the radio no problem nice low tone at idle and when you get on it ,it sounds great...sound starts to drop on the highway when at cruise...to me it's perfect!

I may try this as the 2" cores do have some "bark" to them. I can only imagine what the 2 1/4" loud cores sound like!!!

Childish here.... COOL!  :2vrolijk_21: I still giggle like a school girl when I can roll through town and set car alarms off. Luckily I don't don't live in a residential area where this would happen if I were to leave the house at odd hours.

took the bike today for the 1st time to work it's about a 45 min drive to Boston
bike is quiet on the highway just about as quiet as stock until you hammer down.
and that's with the 2.25 SD cores...my buddy has screaming eagle slip ons and there the same volume as mine.
not loud at all ....just right

I had the 1.75's and changed to the 2.0's.  After a very short time frame I went back to the 1.75's.
