I feel ready tto finally pull the trigger on a table lift. What are your suggestions and what to stay away from. I can't beat the price of an up coming sale at Harbor Freight's. What ya think?

i have the harbor frieght table lift i like alot it makes bike cleaning much easier  the only down fall  is that knob that locks the front wheel  can be a real knuckle /finger smasher

Just me but id buy a quality lift like the handy ones the pros use. Ive got a ranger table lift that works fine but the good ones have the fold front for tire removal and slide out at the rear for rear tire. Quality wheel vise. Height is a factor if you recess the lift. Having it recessed into the slab makes it so much nicer. Just pull into the vise then when you want to clean or service-up you go. I use mine for other things too like riding mower service or any repair that you dont want to do on the floor.

I just can't bring myself to trust the Harbor Freight table. I've heard a few horror stories about them dropping/falling. I know the great price is tempting, but think for just a moment what is relying on that inexpensive table... Your expensive, cherished bike.

I went with the Complete Hydraulics TCMLW table, rated at 1500 pounds. Came with side extensions, rear tire dropout, front extension, wheel chock, and a scissor jack. An exceptional deal at $750. I've had it for a year now, it's worked flawlessly, and I absolutely love it. Can you spend more on a table? Yes, you can buy a Handy table-lift. And if I worked on bikes professionally on a daily basis, maybe I would, maybe not.

Handi Lift is the way to go! I would never consider putting my 1989 FLT on a Harbor Freight lift table let alone my 2011 CVO Ulta Classic.

It's your scooter! Do what you feel comfortable with!

I bought mine back in the late 80's. I bought a Western which may be the same as a Handy. This lift is the Industry Standard and was the only one available at the time of purchaes. Oh and you could only buy them through the dealer. It has provided me with years of service. If it was me I would not skimp on a lift.

Another vote for Handy / Western.

I picked up a use one a few years back for $600.00.   I'd like to add the side extensions at some point.

Take a look at the Titan lifts. Mine has 43" table height so I planted it in the floor and it still has a good working height.

I have the red Harbor Freight lift, with my WheelDock wheel chock mounted on it.  I don't even tie the bike down.  Works great.

I have a good friend using a Harbor Freight lift with an added wheel chock, he is using it for several baggers and likes it very well. I feel just as you all have said, first I don't trust quality of Harbor Freight, I have about $100,000 worth of Snap On tools if it gives you an idea of how true to that I am, yes, I own other tools too. I have used a bottle jack style lift that I added metal casters to and have used it on many many bikes without issues. I started to raise the CVO and it made me cautious so I set it down and started looking for a table lift. I ran into an older 2003 model lift which is longer designed for a Chopper. It has no rear removal plate to drop the rear tire, is this a needed feature? It has a nice front wheel vise, but no center jack and I can purchase it for $400 from a good friend. It was $1,200 new, looking to sell now because it is a air operated lift and he has gone to a air compressor free shop and will replace it with a foot pump version. I will look at it tomorrow. I could not recess my lift, so getting side extensions were very important to me for getting off.

Hard to get off bike that is 6 inches off the floor and no place to step down.  I keep my bike parked on the lift all the time not riding.

Installed a Condor wheel chalk so I can just ride up and step off (never tie down).
