The Way It Was Museum displays the most complete collection of Comstock mining artifacts in the world as well as rare photos, lithographs and maps of the “Bonanza” period.

After a fun morning in Virginia City, we head south and then west into Carson City to Carson City HD where there was quite a party going on.  We made it just in time to see the stunt motorcycle jumping of which I failed to get a good picture.

We then headed south down 395 intending to hit Sonora Pass but a fire blocked 395 about 18 miles south of Carson City.  So, we took Jacks Valley Road to the 206 to the 88, Carson Pass Highway and then the 4, Ebbetts Pass.  Treeman was a 17 year motor cop who decided it was time to imitate JC.  So, I don't really remember much of Ebbetts.  I was too busy keeping up!  It's a great, smooth road; most of it is only 1.5 lanes with no center line.  Some of the turns are tight enough to take in first gear!  There are far better views than this but they went by too fast...  :nixweiss:

Ebbetts hits the 49 at Angels Camp.  We headed south and regrouped at the San Juan Reservoir.

We made it back to Bass Lake for the End of Summer Party and Fireworks Show at Miller's on the Lake.  It had been a tough day so I forgot to even get the Camera out.  Saturday was another day on the Lake on the Party Barge and then a Memorial Party for Chuck's Mother.  Sunday we got up early and headed home trying, unsuccessfully to beat the heat.  By the time we hit Bakersfield it was over 100*.  Bet we all made it home safe!

Thanks Ken!  Great to see you!  It did and I'll have to post a picture...

Another great trip, Greg.  Thanks for the photos and comments. :2vrolijk_21:

Do you think the curse will still work if I buy it and give it to my ex wife? :sauer024: :sauer005: :argue: :sauer007:

BTW, you called the cartoon truck Nader earlier.  I believe his name is actually Mater, as in TowMater.  I'm embarrassed that I even know that.
