I have the Bassani B4 2-1, and am very happy with it. It's similar to NGH's Drago, in that it has a stepped headers that work better for mild builds, and is made for better low end torque. Bassani also has the B1 exhaust, which has more radically stepped headers for bigger/highly modified motors. More high end power, but less low end torque than the B4. Bassani sells a left sided pseudo pipe that I just recently installed, so I don't have any pics yet with the pseudo pipe installed. The B1 and B4 look identical. The muffler end caps are black with contrast cut. Nice...
As far as sound, I've ridden in groups with D&Ds and Thunderheaders, and they are much louder than mine, and more "blatty". My Bassanis sound deeper, too, which I really like. The only other pipes I have compared side by side are the Fullsac 2-1-2s. The Bassanis are a lot louder and a little deeper. At full throttle, the Bassanis are louder than I'd like personally, but are not bad at all cruising.
Bassani is a well established exhaust maker, and the quality has been excellent so far.
The looks are unique. I think they're the best looking 2-1, hands down. Just IMHO. Most 2-1s are straight through from the floorboard to the collector. The Bassanis have a couple more curves that follow the lines of the motor, kind of framing the transmission housing. Sexy.
Whatever exhaust you choose, make sure you have access to oil and tranny fluid caps! I've read about people changing exhausts because they couldn't get to their dipstick. The Bassanis leave good access to oil/tranny holes.
Personally, I think all these exhausts are within a few ft/lbs and HP of each other, performance wise. It depends on the look and sound you want.
Good luck, hope you find what you are looking for!
Dan
I'll try to attach some pics:
