Anyone installed the new LED lights on their bike
« on: October 02, 2012, 10:25:09 AM »

Has anyone installed the new LED headlights yet?  Is it a fairly simple procedure...heard they are plug and play?

I tried LEDs and HID aftermarket kit on all lights, hi, lo and fog, and HID are a lot brighter than LEDS and cheaper. 55Watts and relayed to keep low and fog on when switch to hi beam. Peace of mind night riding. LEDs=$900. HIDs=$260.

Saw a deer way over on the side of the road that I would not have with stock headlights this morning.

Price on Safety?

You just can't be seen or see enough at night in my opinion.  The increased width of the beam pattern with my new LED lights in both low and high beam applications far out weighs the cost.  I paid $699.95 plus tax and one hour labor for installation.  Total cost was upward of $800.00, however in my book it was some of the best money I've spent to improved or should I say personalize my scooter.  It's a personal choice, admittingly not for everyone.  But then I purchased a CVO because I wanted all the bling and comfort so why not the LED's?  Besides you must admit albeit Chrome or Black and Chrome they look kickass!
