My new 2013 CVO RK........pics included.
« on: October 08, 2012, 11:43:57 AM »

Hey fellow CVO fans, this is my first post, been lurking for quite a while and trying to learn something. I just brought home my CVO on Friday and the ride home was amazing despite getting caught in the rain. As much as I love the bike I need to feel more comfortable and would like to lower the bike some, as well as move a bit closer to the rear brake. I hesitate to mess with the shocks as they just gobble up the bumps and the whole package from CVO works well, I'm coming from a slammed Dyna Super Glide Custom and the difference is amazing!! The RK is my first touring bike. So, can anyone recommend a seat that will move me lower and a bit forward. I'd also like to get a back rest with the new seat, any input would be appreciated. Thanks!! mike

Funny, doesn't look like it was in the rain.... :2vrolijk_21:  Must be that new HD paint "Rainanddirtdon'tstick" color...  ::)
Great looking bike and welcome from East Tennessee.  That Dyna is a good lookin' ride, too.  Appreciate the pictures as it's always fun showing off what you ride, especially to folks that can appreciate what you have.  As you have already seen from lurking around, it's a great site for CVO information, conversation and good clean humor.

Enjoy the new SERK, that dyna and keep them both between the ditches... :bananarock:

Thank you both!! Tin, I was going to get the blue but the dealer mentioned they had a red one coming in any day, so I put a few dollars down to hold that one and if I didn't like the red I could pass on it and wait for the blue one to come in sometime in December, well........one look at the red one and I was in trouble. I bet that blue bike you have must also be just STUNNING. Is it me or does CVO paint work get better all the time? Wow. Ultimate rider 1 thanks for the welcome, it's appreciated!! Thanks for the kind words about the Super Glide Custom, it's a blast to ride!! All the best!! Mike

Very nice, Mike!  Congrats on your CVO.     :2vrolijk_21:

I like the asymmetrical seat on the Dyna.     :2vrolijk_21:

Beautiful ride! Have seen one of these in person and they really look great. Corbin makes a seat that will lower you a bit and push you forward. Have one on my wife's SE Deuce, works great. Got it with a backrest as well. Look at the Corbin site, you can pretty much get it made just like you want it.

Welcome aboard as well! We love helping newbies spend their $’s.

Mod on!

Thank you for the heads up to Corbin, I'll check them out!! If I can fix this problem with a seat change I'll be thrilled to avoid any other lowering methods!! The bike rides so nice, I just don't want to mess with it. I have a 29 inch inseam and the SERK is a bit higher than I am used too!! Thanks again for the tip!! I'm going there right now!!
