Thanks Jason, Nice Fan.....

Compared to the fugly parade unit. Moves a suprising amount of air and looks to be a nicely engineered bit of kit.... Gonna run a little experiment with the Fluke laser after I digest a little more of the Thanksgiving feast....

The truth serum..... but from the amount of air those fans are moving, I think it will be a pleasant suprise!!

Looking forward to seeing the results of your new toys.

Hope it works well, I'm thinking of getting the same units.

I have a set on my bike and love them. I have gotten stuck in rush hour traffic in Boston not moving more than 50 feet in 30 minutes. I used to have to shut the bike off to keep from the eitms from kicking in. Now it hasn't kicked in once.

I have a set on the Honey Badger, and I use them all the time, per Jason's recommendation. I haven't run any thermal tests to see how much they are cooling the heads, but I can feel the hot air exiting out on the lower right side of the engine - so I know they are blowing a lot of air on the heads. That has to be good.

I just got Jason's $20 thermal switch to install, to make operation totally automatic. Looking forward to getting it installed and seeing how long the fans stay on after shutting the engine off.

I would make some temperature measurements to be sure of what your really getting. Only from looking at the pictures those fans are moving air very close to the temperature sender and this may show bigger drops in temperature on the HD sender, than is really happen. Any extra air across the engine at low speed is a good thing but let's just be careful in what we think we are seeing.

Good point, Steve. What would be the effect of the ECM thinking the CHT is lower than it really is in normal riding - other than not entering EITMS mode if needed?

All the corrections in the ECM that are based on the temperature sensor will change but without know how much it is really changing, it may really make no difference at all. All one can do is test in like conditions before and after and see if it a big change or a little change but you feel the hot air due to the fans. Thats why you need to check the true temperature in several spots around each cylinder head so you can see how much the average temperatures moves.
