How many pounds of air?
« on: August 26, 2006, 06:39:36 PM »

Just wondering how many pounds of air everyone is riding 2 up in there shocks. I'm a pretty big boy so our combined weight is like 425lbs.  I ran 10lbs initially and was way too little so I went to 15lbs, seems to be pretty close.  Anyone have any idea what I should be running?

Dozer,
I assume the 07's have standard Ultra shocks like the 06's did.  Try about 30lbs, you'll like it.

I'm in that combined weight of about 400# and have been running 25psi and like the way it rides there.

20 lbs. solo (I weigh 195), and 30 lbs. two-up (wife OR kids weigh no more than 115 lbs) IS NICE AND FIRM, but NOT enough to start chattering my teeth!!

Of course, the tighter, curvier, and faster the roads get, ya sometimes gotta bump that up a little!! :)

Check your owners manual. Page 54 tells how much air to run w/ different weight loads. Seems like 25psi is the max for rider and passenger. You can go up to 35 psi if you are carrying maximum GVWR.

See...some of you guys need to get in on the group buy for the Legend Air Ride shocks we've got going...then you can make 'em do whatever you want, whenever you want, and not have to get out the little pump and chit... ;) ;)

I run about 20 and it seems to be good for one or two up and loaded or not.  I don't know if it's right, but it seems to work for me.  I go about 220 pounds and if my wife is on board, well more than 220 (I'm not stupid).
