I use a 9.5" dark tint "Clearview" and will probably switch over to a 12" clear for the winter months (all two months, in Cali) to just keep the chill off me.  Clearview is a very good shield.  http://www.clearviewshields.com/

I have several Clearview windshields and prefer the 8" & 9.5" with recurve (dark grey / smoke).  The 9.5" is better for long distance riding and I can see over the top by an inch or two (I am 6').  SJ Ron

I have a 9-inch LRS Ultra in medium tint on mine.  Works as well as the OEM 10-inch on buffeting.  Two years on and no scratches.

I have a 7" Freedom Shield on mine.  Can't say enough about it.  It took all the buffeting away.  And its a great looking shield.

I went with Freedom Shields as well but in a 11" light tint. Should have just gone with the 10" but if I sit up straight then it'd be fine. Backrest would probably take care of that. Otherwise I like it alot. Definately took care of BSR helmet buffeting and looks good to boot. 6'2"/32" inseam

I'm with you CVOTHUNDER, I should have went with the 6" on mine.  I think the little lip on the shield makes it sit taller than a standard shield.

Freedom Recurve........the best shield I have ever sat behind in 50+ yrs of riding. Height to suit the rider. I use an 8" in summer & 12" in winter.

7" Freedom Shield on my 2011 Street Glide. At 5'-8" it is just out of my view. Really, Really great customer service. Plus, CVO Harley gets 15% OFF. The special code is CVO.

I just put a 8.5'' Klock Works Dark tint Re-curve on my bike and then took a 2600 mile trip to Tenn. in the cold weather.  The windshield worked great and made the bike steadier around 18 wheelers than it was with the stock windshield.
So far I am very satisfied.
