I'll be coming off of an '05 Ultra with a Road Zeppelin seat when the new one gets here.  I really got use to that seat, it's like an adjustable recliner..

How do you find it comfort wise, especially the back seat passenger??

I was wondering whether during long hauls if the pattern or braided piping is noticeable.

Corbin offers a seat to match...special deal that Big Al got started.

Do you happen to have the link to Big Al's comments.  I remember reading about it several months ago but I am just now starting to think about changing seats.

I'm one of the lucky few - I find the seat on my '06 melon quite comfortable.

Same here "ultrafxr", the stock 06' seat works great for me & my wife. In fact my wife stated that this seat was more comfortable than our stock 01' Ultra-Classic which I am really happy with because I too would like (and have) to spend $$$ on other items.  ::)
I'll admit though, on long trips (300+ miles) I add the H-D fitted sheepskin which I saved from my old 01' ultra and that makes for easy 700+ miles a day rides.  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Here you go:

I got the Corbin seat because I thought the rider part of seat was too soft. They have changed the design a little ( see attached where rider lower back as "ostrichoid" leather insert now). Also raised the $!  The seat is a lot firmer, does sit a little higher (padding difference?), and the rider backrest sits a little further back. (the latter important if riding 2 up as less room to tourpak backrest- thus the need for tourpak relocation kit from George Anderson!)  Good luck on what you do, no wrong answers just expensive ones!!!!

Absolutely.  One thing I've found in the Harley world - given enough time and money you can get just about anything you would ever want.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
