Fairing Bra
« on: August 27, 2006, 08:13:14 PM »

I do a lot of long distance riding and as result have been picking up some road-dings on the SEEG's fairing. I'm considering purchasing a "bra" for it, seeing that new paint is expensive. I'd be interested in feedback from any and all that have gone this route - thoughts, ease of on/off use, where to purchase, etc.

I use the bra for long trips, then it usually stays on for a couple months after.  So far no scuffing, and it has saved the fairing from a few nicks and one large piece of road debree!

TRW,
If you have not looked see the following website for best price on internet for clear bra products:http://www.stickercity.com/store/home.php?cat=2093. If find what you want, then go to: www.invisiblemask.com for dealer/installer locator. Good luck. John PS they do make lower fairing covers and front face of hard bag too!

I asked my wife about this...she says she always chooses to go bra-less when ever given the chance!!    [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Nothing like the looks of a naked front end coming at ya.

Cheers, J

if you check with some auto detailers, they can put a clear plastic coat that will protect the paint

Dang. That ruined it for me. I had a good visual going, too. :(

Come to the Little Sturgis rally in Kentucky in mid-July for actual visuals.

I have clear Bra's on three of my cars and they are invalueable - that being said I still wouldn't place one on the Bike.

The three cars all seem to "attract rocks" while it is rare for me to have a rock hit my front BatWing on the bikes (and I do travel quite a bit)...

That being said - if ya want something to protect that front end go with a "Clear Bra" and choose 3M's product.

It is "UV" transparent and clear coated - once waxed up it blends right in!!!
