Throat mic for use with CVO Ultra Classic...
« on: August 28, 2006, 01:44:58 PM »

Looking for a throat mic that would plug into my '06 CVO Ultra-Classic so that I could have the CB (and my bluetooth phone) audio come out through the speakers but when I need to talk I could have a mic around my throat that would plug into the "Headphone" jack on the CVO kinda like the way the handheld microphone does.

Anyone ever seen or used something like this and if so where?  Leading a big ride and they want to use their CB's - hard when the leader has a CB but not a microphone...

Thanks in advance  [smiley=drink.gif]

Would a Hand held mike (attached to the Handel bar work for the cb for the leader? put the CB thru the external speakes and key the hand mike to spkeak.

I use a JM set up that I cut the speaker off of.  Just attach the mic to the helmet a pipe it thru the speakers,  works great.

Looking to have the throat mike (audio through the speakers) and use the throat mike (like the WWII Bomber Pilots) to key the radio when talking on the CB or phone ala the Bluetooth option...

Hey Mr_Magoo...

Remember when we BOTH had Black and Orange CVO's - then I went for Teal cause green is my favorite color - but audio being so important too me I needed the new stereo system...

Ah the slippery slope...

So - Thanks I'll give that a try!  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Hey I still got a orange one and won't be getting rid of any time soon.  Will sell the 06 probably as soon as all the paint is fixed.  Not sure why.

Yea - just saw my Black and Orange one the other day with the King Tour Pack I purchased for trips - DCFireman purchased my right side lower fairings and saddle bag...

That bike and the Teal had GREAT PAINT...

The Autumn Haze had a flaw in the gas tank that I had to have swapped out...  [smiley=oops.gif]
