Hubbard,

Actually in the past the Police bikes were the same as a road king except for the wiring harness getting chopped to pieces and the bags having the hockey puck releases on the saddle bags.  The other difference is the seat that they come with.   In this case the dealer had already replaced the single seat with a regular seat and I added the passenger foot boards at time of purchase.   Now in 2007 the police bikes come with the 103 engine vs. the 96 or 110 in the SE bikes.

The motor I took out of the bike is a stock 88 with the Timken bearing as it was a 2002 engine they stopped this in 2003.  The motor is in my S&S box in the garage.

I replaced the following
Stock Trans with the Baker R2 6 speed tall 1,2 gear and .080 6th
S&S 124
Stock 43 mm Delphi with Zippers 54 mm Throttle body
Cruise Control added stock harness didnt support cruise control
Road King Classic Wiring Harness to replace the the stock cut up hacked police harness
140 Tire on rear
Chrome Front Shocks
Floating Rotors
Rivera Pro Clutch
S&S Speedo Correction inline Device
SERT
Zippers A/C and Mounting kit
Zippers Schim
Garage Door opening unit.
Complete set of painted Tins.  I have the tins that came off the bike.
Skull chrome add ons.

Harry,
Looking good, that is one sweet scooter. Sounds like that it is going to be fun to ride, and even more fun enjoying the look on peoples face when you let them catch up w/you. :o

Harry

One fine looking scooter! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Just checked to see if you were coming to M/V.

Damn, no chance to try it out there.

You going to fall Myrtle Beach? Should have mine broke in by then.

That .080 6th is interesting but not much for acceleration.

If it runs 1/2 as good as it looks you will have a keeper!

Good job Harry! Keep those jokes a coming!

Harry.

I'm really happy that you're doing better and are once again absorbed in your scoot!
Nice looking bike..  it looks comfortable and it's a cool paint job. Enjoy and best wishes for a complete recovery & being "in the wind" again.  ;) [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Thanks guys,

This is a project I have wanted to finished for a while.  Its nearing its conclusion with only a few odds and ends to be put in place.

Chip right now I am more focused on recovery (walking) than I am really with the bike / riding.   The wife and I had planned on taking two, one week vacations in October back to back.

We will definately be taking off for biketoberfest.  We have friends coming down from New Jersey to stay with us.  The idea for the 2nd week's vacation was to head to the Blue Ridge.  I do not know yet, if we will be doing both, but its still being bounced around we're just not sure if we can modify the vacation dates with work.

Our idea was/is to rent a 2 bedroom cabin that accepts pets and bring the puppies up with us and stay a week in the mountains.  The issue is I have a business conference scheduled right after biketoberfest ends.  It starts on Tuesday the 24th and runs for 4 days.  Its one of those meetings I must attend :(

We're just going to have to play it by ear for now and see what happens.
