Need a Part Number
« on: October 25, 2012, 09:31:10 AM »

My 110 derby cover got scratched up the other day by my son scraping it with a shovel and I need to replace it.  I would like to get the blue script:

"Screamin Eagle 110".  Anybody know what the part number is for this-can I just call the dealer to get it?  I heard that I need my vin to order these kinds of parts which isn't a problem, but just wondering so I can maybe get one online somewhere cheaper.   I have attached a picture, but I know it isn't very clear-I had to take it from ebay, only place a could find a pic. Thanks.

If you just call the dealer with your VIN, they should be able to provide you with the part number. I would then order it from one of the higher discount dealers you see listed on this site.

I guess I could just call one of the vendors from the website that already discount items and they could look up the part number for me?  That way I don't piss off my local dealer who of course I occassionally need.

You can look up part numbers yourself.  Link below:

I can see the clutch assembly, but can't see the cover listed (also, I don't see where the part numbers are listed).

Primary covers are listed in the breakdown with the primary housing.  Find a section called Chain Case Housing.  Once you find the right breakdown then select the part you're after.  After that move forward as if to purchase.  The part numbers will present after you've continued.

The cover you're describing isn't what I remember on the FX though.  I thought they read "110" and not "Screamin Eagle 110" as you're saying you want.  If it's not an original part to the bike it won't be in the bike breakdown.  You'll need to go to a breakdown for a model that actually did have the part you're looking for.

The part number for the one that came on the 07 FXSTSSE is 60709-07A. It just says 110 on it. Retail is $154.00

The Blue text Screamin Eagle Script is 60827-07 and came on the FLHTCUSE2, Retail is $154.00

Either part does not show as being VIN restricted so ordering should be easy.
