Unless there is some reason you either don't like the looks of the stock header and muffler cans, or you like the looks of the V&H system better, you can save some pretty serious money by going with the Fullsac header and cores of your choice...and TTS tuner, or equivalent.  Especially if you do the install yourself.

I realize that you read a lot on here about the Fullsac system, and it's like a broken record.  But, there are good reasons for it: It performs well; it's easy to install; it's a proven combination; Fullsac is a member here (Steve) and customer service is excellent.  You can buy all the parts for <$1100, and if you've got some basic mechanical skills and own a laptop, you can do it all yourself in a half day, and that's taking your time.

When I got my bike, Fullsac x-pipes were on backorder.  The dealer made a half-hearted attempt at trying to talk me into V&H power duals, which they had done quite a few installs of, but I was fine waiting on the Fullsac stuff, based on all the excellent feedback here.  So, once it came in, they installed the x-pipe "c," the 2" cores and then did the tuning with the SE race tuner.  They were impressed with the results compared to the V&H systems they'd done.  The torque with the x-pipe came in earlier and lasted longer than the V&H, though peak numbers with the Fullsac exhaust was down just a tad.

Terry nailed all the good points about the Fullsac system.  It works good, sounds good and looks good.  And does all that at a great price.  I would definitely do it again.

How bout this,
Order you some cheapo drag pipes and install them.
You then can be loud and proud while at the same time lose performance..
After a few rides and you have come to your senses then buy the best system available.
Order the Fullsac system, the pipe, the baffles, the tuner and then ride, get good mileage and listen to a great rumble.
There are good reasons most people on this site use the Fullsac system.
Good luck in what you select. (unless it's the Fullsac system them no luck is needed)

I have had the Vance & Hines Power Duels on my last bike with a SE 103 Stage IV and it worked well.
I have never been a fan of the looks and my installer said the shields were a PIA to install.
My tuner does like them though.

On my CVO I have gone with the Fullsac X-Pipe header and am very impressed. My tuner was very impressed too. I've never seen him smile before. He'd never heard of Fullsac before.
and one major benefit it the reduction in heat. It's not gone, but majorly (I know that's not a real word) reduced.

FYI: One thing that caught my eye was that Fullsac actually makes a different model header for the 110 motor.
I don't know anyboy else who does. He must know something, rather than just be here to sell product.

He does actually........when you have an hour free, ask him about his history with air-cooled performance engines!

Ok, I'm sold, I'm going to order the Fullsac set up for a few reasons, 1. I like the opinions, of satisfied customers 2. I like the performance gains. 3. Steve is a member of this forum and I like to support members 4. He is also in the same state that I'm in so it keeps the money in my state.
5. Great customer support
So I will order the parts and I'll have them the next day.
I will keep you all posted, I plan on installing them the weekend I get back from picking up my new CVO Rapd Glide

I believe all the pipes are about the same in performance. I was fully set to put the Fuelmoto pipes (with the stock heat shields) on my 2012 SESG when I discovered the stock HD heat shields are poor quality compared to any aftermarket pipe. You can see the weld marks on the mounting brackets thru the stock shields because they are so thin. I decided for a few extra bucks this bike is worth the nicer looking after market heat shields. Just my two cents!

In my opinion the only thing uglier than the V&H power duals is some kind of 2 into 1 thing that removes the other muffler, dressers look weird to me with only 1 muffler, but thats me. I went with Fullsac stage 2 kit with 2.25 baffles on my CVO and like just about everyone else on here I am very happy with my choice.

I did the fullsac and left the muffler stock CVO.  Sounds great, not too loud and not too quite.  I had the bike tuned and ended up with 112 lb/ft and 97 HP.  Very nice performance and never a missed beat.  Rode it all the way to Sturgis and back a week after the tune up with no issues.
