My dad dopped off his Road Glide Ultra at my house in Georgia for the winter, he lives in Boston so he doesn't like storing it up there.  I have the previledge to ride it during the winter months and put on a few hundred miles.  Anyways, he told me that he may want me to sell it for him.  I know retail is anywhere for 31K to 35K, and trade in is around 29K.  Any ideas what they would be going for on a private party sale?  Great bike with about 12K miles, V&H Xpipe and 4" Rineharts.  Oh, and its the fastest color too, Red!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just my $.02:  As the bike was made only 1 year in this configuration, this might be a tough question.  Have you searched EBay, Craigslist and Cycletrader?  They each have search functions which could be helpful.  I don't think you can add much if at all for the aftermarket exhaust.

Yes, Chopper exchange has no private party bikes, they're all dealer bikes in the low to mid $30K. Ebay has one CVO Road Glide Ultras at a dealer (black one) and it's bids starting at 26,5K.  I agree Greg, 2100 made so these are pretty scarce bikes.

I am researching ways to cut my expenses , one of them is selling my toys. Anyone has an idea how much is the resale value of the FLTRUSE ? Mine ihas 6,000 miles on it , garaged , with Rinehart 4" extreme and TTS mastertune by David in Mineola FL.

Prices are what people & stealers will sell them for, bottom line!
My real good friend bought an 11 Red RG Ultra CVO with 3k miles over a year
ago. It had V&H x pipe, Rein 4" pipes, Air rear suspension and a
BUNCH of little chrome stuff on it, and a tune. PAID $30K!
For some reason people hope the book value is the price the bike is worth
until they walk into a dealer, and get their heart broke!

I'd say $30-$31K with 12,500 miles on it.  Perhaps a bit more if the miles are only 6K.  That's pretty much low retail, which generally is about what private party is in really good shape.

Shhhh,,,,, if the prices on these stay up maybe I'll get more out of mine when the next one comes out and I want to upgrade (update) to a newer one.

I paid $29,800 for mine with1,600 miles in December 2011.  I got an exceptional deal, the bike had an Andrews 30t pulley, TTS Mastertune with Fullsac headpipes and cores, Clearview 14" winscreen, and all the stock parts.   That was then this is now.  I bought the bike because I missed out on the 1st CVO RG in 2009 for $30K and never saw the price drop.  Same thing with these in 2011.  Single year production bike, dealers will pay $29 for the bike now!  Awesome bike, no need for another unless your just someone that needs something new all the time.  Best of all worlds!
