I've been looking on the web for a bluetooth adaptor/dongle to plug into the factory communication socket on my 2007 CVO Ultra.

The purpose is to convert the standard cable communication between rider and passenger to wireless, retaining all the existing features that the HD radio has, like CB, intercom, radio/CD/iPod controls, and add also my Zumo 550 bluetooth feedback.

I saw: AKE, J&M, and a few others, but all seem to put limitations to the HD cable communication system.

HD themselves don't seem to have any plans soon: I've just ordered a 2013 CVO Road Glide and that too comes with hard wired cables.

Has anybody found a solution that fulfills the above requirements?

I'd appreciate your feedback.

Ciao

That animal has not yet evolved.

When and if it does it will be on the endangered species list so it will be expensive.

I've looked for the same thing and found only these:

http://www.spoiledbiker.com/product3326.html
http://www.spoiledbiker.com/sena-bluetooth-sm10.html

I don't believe either is a complete solution (ie no CB use) but they are the closest I've found to what we're looking for.  Haven't tried either, but use a Sena SMH10 headset on my BMW and would like to use it on the Harley.  Another vendor website is www.rocketmoto.com who handles some interesting stuff.

Let us know if you move forward with anything as I'm interested in hearing your opinion.

Thanks,

I use this to bluetooth the bike to my music (ipod, pandora) on the iphone

Works good except you have to remember to charge it about every 8 hours

That is just output. No microphone input for CB. I do not know because it does not say but I suspect it is not made for the impedance of the Harmon Kardon radio.

Every Bluetooth device I have seen is only for output ( speakers) no microphone input for CB use.

Same here, I've looked high and low.  It's just not available yet.  I'd bet when it comes on the market, it will sell like hotcakes to the touring market.  :bananarock:

that's right, Jim. But everything else works - at least the company claims. If you want CB, you have to add a  bluetooth CB, for instance this one, intercom/telephone/nav also goes via bluetooth, not via the H-K.

Kraut,

whenever you're able to test it, would please let me know what are your conclusions? I went through the website and I noticed that it seems likely to work, but very "complicated"...

Thanks in advance. and ride safe! ;D
