Hat hell, I was wondering what he runs through that air hose to make it stiff against gravity like that (and if I could have some of it?).

I did mine with a Dremel and an old bit that I have had for years and it only took me 10-15 minutes per can. I really thought I flew through it until I watched Steve's video. Dangit! Wrong again!

I will say the stage 1 kit with Steve's X pipe, 2" baffles and canned tune is my absolute favorite mod I have done. The whole process was easy as pie and the only mistake I made was test riding the bike without my back rest attached. Never expected that heavy bike to take off strong enough to stretch out my arms like that.  :o BTW an old car axle makes a great extraction tool.

Thanks Steve!

I missed the rigid hose and had to go back to see what you meant. If I had a stiff hose like that I bet I could grind much better. :P

I don't know if I have a Monster Dremel or not... but it only took 30 minutes to do both cans and reinstall them.  The hardest part was getting the cans off the bike (I failed to use any penetrating oil to loosen the fit).   8)

This is the one I use.

http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRIT?PARTPG=INLMKD&PMPXNO=17796921&PMAKA=317-0280

1/4" shank. fits in any cheap 20.00 air powered die grinder. Do your self a favor and skip the dremel.

Heres how fast it woks.

Steve

wish i would've seen this thread before i did mine.  i went through 3 stones before i was through.....  at least it didn't take a long time to do it.  new baffles in (went with 2'') and they sound great  :2vrolijk_21:

That's why I asked the question.
I have done 4 sets and with the grinding stones it took forever.
Using the bit Steve does makes it an easy job.
