How do I turn up only the idle on my TTS
« on: November 10, 2012, 04:28:34 PM »

My bike was tuned at 1000 miles and runs well.  I now have 11000 miles on it.  However, at idle, when it's warmed up and I hit the throttle,  it has a slight cough.  This is only at idle once it's warmed up.  Is there an easy way to turn up my idle just a bit?  If so, how?

You need to open the calibration you have in your bike in Mastertune and then got to the idle speed table. Change what you want there and the program it back into the bike.

Thanks Steve.  I apologize for the dumb question but when I open up mastertune idle settings it shows:
Deg. C                     Idle RPM
-16                          1400
0                             1384
16                            1360
32                            1304
48                            1136
64                           1056
80                           1016
96, 112 & 170              1000
176 & 192               904

Which one of these do I change?   Thanks for your help.  Tom

Just because I like it, I'm running 1050 after the motor warms up.
Only change the highlighted areas and see if you like it.
You can always go back and set whatever you wish, but, IMHO the newer bikes like 1000 or so idle.

Hi Roadking

If that's a map I sent you, Email it back to me at steve@fullsac.com and I will make a small adjustment and send it back.

Best answer: read your help files in TTS
Short answer: go to your idle table, edit the cells you want to change (increase or decrease) to get the value you want, save, program your ecm, start the bike and check it out.

My tuner lost my map. I think he lost his computer. Is there anything I can do if I wanted to raise up my idle a little?
