Any comments on E Track systems for trailers?
« on: November 15, 2012, 06:18:25 AM »

Thinking of using this system in my new trailer but have never used it before. I know there are a ton of places that sell them and different ratings as well as different clips etc... Any info would be helpful.

Not sure what you are wanting to know, But they have been used in trucking industry for many years to secure loads that can weigh 40,000 lbs. plus. As far as the straps i would suggest the rachet over the cam style.

I use E track on the sidewalls but prefer aluminun load track (beveled and squared off) for the floors.

The ratchet straps are best,( in my opinion but that's just my opinion) you can tighten as hard as you wont. I use them for securing loads
on the top of my vans roof rack. Never had any faults with them :2vrolijk_21:

Use ratchet straps for things you don't want to move.

Use cam straps only if you're only hoping it doesn't move.

Wow! I looked into this Load Track stuff and boy I was shocked at the prices compaired to Etrack.  Similar concept different design.

I have searched high and low for prices on Etrack and boy it is either half or full price of what it would cost me at home then I have to pay almost $50.00 in shipping and I end up paying more than buying it here in my town. I guess they can't get away with that weight.  I also see that 10' sections require it to be freight and not a UPS etc... Item
