Actually that frame looks like it might be more rigid than the earlier Harley frames.  At least until the termites do their thing of course.

Well if it breaks down on the side of the road, just chop down a tree, whittle out some replacement parts, and you are good to go. Probably one of the most green and eco-friendly bikes on the road. Just don't park next to Woody the Woodpecker.

The good news is if it needs a bagger brace, all you need is a 2x4.

If you get tired of the wood look, you can easily stain or paint

For now it can't really compete with the Goldwing because it doesn't have windshield and bags. The bags would be easy enough to make, some plywood, 2x4, wood screws, hinges, clasp latch with pad lock, some caulking for weather proofing and your good to go. But how would you make a windshield out of wood?

                       Think I've got the ansour for the windshield, mind you it's just a mock-up, may be the fella can make some adjustments.

It is pretty cool. I am not sure I would ride it down the highway though.
