2 up CVO FLHXSE3 options?
« on: November 26, 2012, 07:31:05 PM »

Are there any 2 up seats for long trips that I can "slap" on without taking the rear fender strips off? I heard 1 guy say he had a sundowner from an 08 that worked without removing the strips?

I have a Sundowner that I used on my 2010 Ultra Limited and it fits without removing the trim strips.

I have a 2011 cvosg with the strips and when two up I use the harley hammock seat. Very comfortable for my wife and I. Much more fun with my Corbin solo and no tour PAC!

They all tell you to remove the strips  :'(.  I have a HD Reach seat that I use and I never had to remove the strips.   :P

Good! I kept my reach seat from my last bike hanging in the garage!  :bananarock:

I am using the reach seat, there are 3 of them. I have the one that lowers you 1/2inch and pushes you forward 1/2inch. I did not have to remove the strips.
I did not want to be sitting on the gas tank but I did not want to be on my toes when at red lights either.
This seat works well for what I wanted.
The wife likes it to.
Plus it was only $249

Mine was thrown in the deal when I bought my 09 FLHX. I am going to run out to the garage and get the part # now! Mine's the reduced reach 52619-08

I have a Corbin Solo and did not have to remove any strips as well.  Fit is excellent

Not sure why a solo seat would require that?  :-\

I've got a Corbin Dual Tour and it fits great and I have the exact same bike as you.  Nothing to remove and you can ride all day.

Fair enough. The solo does go far enough back that it sits atop the strips. I also have the pillion and that too fits fine.

I use the sundowner - strips still on the bike.

Likewise I have a Reach seat. The strips remain intact, still attached to the fender.
