How many years do you add on with the ESP? I have got a quote of $1858 for 7 yrs with wheel & tire coverage.
I kepte my last two bikes for 5 yrs and 3 yrs. 7 yrs seems a long time, but the price I paind this time will probably make me keep this one longer.

You get the first 2 years included on a new bike from the MOCO and you can add the extra coverage anytime from day 1 until the 2 year anniversary date. And you can buy the coverage from any Harley dealer along the way it doesn't have to be bought at time of purchase and some dealers do discount the policies.

This is a high margin item for the dealer so feel free to negotiate on it, if you do buy the coverage now they should be able to discount it 20 -25% without blinking an eye.

If they don't you've got 2 years to find a better deal.

Also, I wouldn't recommend anyone financing it into the original purchase, if possible its always better to buy it with cash somewhere along the way.

I would say it depends on how many miles you put on the bike rather than how long you keep it.  I ride in a group the put around 15k miles a year and we all have the ESP.  It seem that after the third year....45k miles....is when we start cashing in on the ESP.  The cool thing about the ESP is that when your have a warranty claim.....at least with my dealer....they not only fix the problem for $50....the pretty much replace/rebuild any and all componets that are closely related to the issue.  ie...had a transmission seal leak and they rebuild the transmission....we thought the clutch was slipping...rebuilt the clutch.....

So I would say if you plan on putting the miles on it.....it is a good investment.....and by the way....I ordered my over the phone with Jennie at Tri-County and got 20% off.

Good Luck
