Finally Good Tunes thanks to Soundz!!
« on: December 01, 2012, 09:24:03 PM »

Finally broke down and ordered some speakers from Santa Clause!  Called Soundz last week and Pete was a big help and offered nice discounts for CVO owners. Putting in 4 of the Focal 165krc and using 2 250 watt arc audio 2 channel amps. One for the fairing speakers and lower speakers and one for the bag speakers. He is making up some new wiring so I can remove the bag amp and just plug every thing together. We will see how it goes and I will post pictures as the job progresses. Two 6x9's are going in the saddle bags for some added base.

Can't get here fast enough!

Sounds like you're gonna be set.  :2vrolijk_21:

How will the 6x9s fit in the bags?  Is there an adapter out that will work?  What, approximately, did those speakers and amps cost?

Biketronics has a prototype for the 6x9's that he is sending me next week. Ill keep you posted on the results.

Call Pete at soundz for pricing. He'll hook you up.  I couldnt find any better pricing after we negotiated and haggled!

Just finished my install. Pete @ soundz is just amazing!!!!  Product delivered as promised. Plug and play wiring and the Focal speakers are great. He also has a plug to bypass that damn amp in the saddle bag and remove it!!! Lots of instructions and phone contact is not an issue. You can email and text photos with questions and get immediate answers and solve any dumb questions!!!  It was like he was standing in my garage over my shoulder!!  I highly advise anyone wanting to upgrade their system to use Pete!!  Now to wait for my lowers to come in so I can finish the job. Both amps came tuned and ready to install.  :bananarock:

Can't be happier. Now when is it gonna get warm???? :nixweiss:

Wonder if he has a plug and play solution for the amp under the tour pack on the Ultras?  I would like his info?

I'm interested in the adapters for the bag speakers as well. Pics would be great.

The 6x9 adapters came from biketronics. They work slick. Easy peasy!!  You have to relocate one hole in the metal strap that holds the black webbing but other than that no problems.
Call Bill @ biketronics and tell him you want his new 6x9 setup. They do take up some bag space because they are big but worth it for sound quality.

I will post some pics of the 6x9's tomorrow.

Everything else including amps I got from Soundz.

I had Pete take care of my system in Daytona in oct.. He did a great job and it's nice you can always ask a question. His service is the best.   I have rockford 5x 7s in the bags and they seem to sound fine. Best to use a speaker with a bridged tweeter so you don't get leaks.  These work great till something betters available the focals rock!  I went with the arc 4 channel amp under the fairing and I am very happy.  I wanted as much out of the bags as possible. I have be wiring heading to the saddlebags and the left bag has so much more room.  The amp and the harness are gone.  Really happy with Pete's stuff. :2vrolijk_21:

Did you have to run new wires to the saddlebags or use the stock wires?  Thanks
