EASY QUESTION HOPING FOR EASY ANSWER
« on: September 04, 2006, 01:27:00 PM »

On a new CUSE, do you do a download and hi flow or does it come with one already? I am not looking to change pipes. Just want to make sure I have the best download and hi flow filter available. Is there a SERT available yet for the 110 engine? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

The '07 SE Ultra does not come w/ the high flow air cleaner. Screaming Eagle Stage I A/C is available. SERT is also available. The SERT calibration for the 110 motor is #84, but it requires racing exhaust (high flow mufflers such as Screaming Eagle II, Rineharts, V&H etc.) as well as the Stage I A/C.

I added the SERT, Stage I A/C, and V&H oval slip ons to my '07 at 500 miles, and it runs and sounds a lot better.

I just hate to replace the pipes because I like the stock ones. By the se 2 I guess you mean the ones they were suppose to be stopping production on because when I check the catalogue HD is making nothing right now that fits the CUSE.iS THAT THE CASE. THE PART# FOR THE ONE i THINK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT IS SOMETHING LIKE 61915-91B OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. aM i ON THE RIGHT TRACK? i WONDER IF YOU COULD JUST DO A DOWNLOAD WITH THE SERT AND USE THE HI FLOW FILTER AND KEEP THE STOCK PIPES? WHAT DO YOU THINK??

The screaming eagle 98B's are the slip on's I have and sound great with the 110 motor. Yes, you can change the air filter and do a SERT download without changing the pipes but you will not experience the full benefits of performance. Remember, the engine is a big pump. The more air you let in the more free flowing the exhaust should be. Also, the stock mufflers on the SE bikes cannot be modified. I looked into it and was told they are bypass mufflers and cannot be fooled with for more sound or flow.

My dealer or I should say their performance specialist told me that the high flow air filter is stock on the 07 Ultra (maybe the other 07's not sure) & therefore did not need the a/c upgrade when doing performance enhancements.  Since this dealer is realy $ orientited I assume they are right as they would not miss a chance to sell a part otherwise!!

Like copout mentioned above the modifications you are speaking of are a three stage process. Allowing more air in, allowing more fuel available to burn, you need to let the exhaust from the above two objectives out. If you bottle neck this process at any of the above places you aren't allowing the motor to be proficient and may even be doing more harm then just keeping it stock.

Have yet to take a close look at the backing plate on one of these models, but if it still has the black plastic one it like came stock on my SEEG then it is not going to be the Hi-Flow kit. If I remember correctly the only CVO that came w/the Hi-Flo Air Filter setup stock was the CVO Fatboy (can't remember which year or if it was all of them).

Not sure on the 07's but on my 06 I kept the original mufflers added a Ness Big Sucker and had a custom map done on a Power Commander. It added 10 points to the hp & torque. It also took out all the lean hesitation it had , and............. you can unplug the power commander for warranty issues and replug the original ECM and go back to your original configuration. Now she runs SWEEEEEEET !!!!

All non-street legal (not meeting EPA pollution & noise standards and for "race application only") were discontinued by the moco a couple months ago.  This does include the Screamin Eagle Pro Performance slip-ons, p/n 65115-98B.   I have them on my bike and like them.  May still find them in some dealer's inventories or on ebay perhaps.

Like d00d said below, if the backplate is still the black plastic one, it is not the high flow backplate.

Yes, the 98B's are the discontinued mufflers and are very nice. They have high flow baffles and interchangeable tips. I like them, especially since I picked them up for $100.00. I will be replacing them with a true dual Rinehart system once they are available. You can still pick up pre-discontinued Screamin Eagle mufflers off EBay if interested.

I was in a local dealer the other day and they are selling Rush slip-ons in place of the old SE Pros....the pipes look identical to the SE's...
