I did a search didn't see anything, may have missed something. Is there a free website that I can enter the VIN of a bike I'm thinking about buying to check for problems? I did a Google search but did not see any that were really free. Thanks

I don't know of any, but if there was something like a Car Facts for bikes it wouldn't be free.  Those folks make lots of money selling that information.

If you have a buddy at the Harley shop you might be able to talk him into checking the Harley database for the service history.  Any warranty work should show up, but I'm not sure about regular maintenance stuff.  And of course it wouldn't help if you are looking for insurance data for crash info.

Thanks Jerry, lots of the sites I found say they are FREE but to "see" the report they want money. I was curious about a bike I saw on Ebay, at a Harley dealer. There was to many unanswered questions that I had for the salesman so my BullChit indicators went off and I told him I was no longer interested. I got the VIN off Ebay and was just going to check it for the heck of it. The crash/problems was what I was wondering about. Thanks   Arland
