Static Compression Vs Corrected compression with should i really be looking at on a engine build. If im using a cam that its best performance is 10:2.1 and after engine build with head work done to give me 10:2 Static and after cam is calculated in, I only have 9:4.1 Corrected. I need to understand the differance between the 2  a little better

when starting a build, shooting for static compression is a good way to figure how different cams are going to work, then once the cam is chosen, corrected compression can be calculated (this can also be done backwards, figuring corrected first, then matching cams, but i wouldnt recommend it) if anyone wants to put build idea`s thru one of our engine programs, email me at veetwinracing@hotmail.com (scotts right, nothing wrong with mid 9.0 corrected compression)
