For the first time in my life......I think I'm speachless. Dick, I just don't know what words to say to express my appreciation for you and all that I've learned from you (more than you know). Thank you......thank you very much for all that you've done and for just being you. You're appreciated buddy.
I'll never forget.....Andy, Jon and I riding ocean to ocean. This guy asked if we minded if he tagged along. No, not at all. He rode up to the hotel that we were staying at that night (was that in Ga., North Carolina or eastern Tenn?) Jock showed up and the first thing I asked him "do you snore?". He gave me a funny look.....but I hadn't got any sleep in the past few nights. He said "no" with a puzzeled look on his face. I said "good.....you're my room mate, Andy and Jon are together". That was the best night's sleep I'd had in a week!
Since then, I've put down many, many miles with Jock, all over this country. He was there when we were on our way down Hwy. 101 and my compensator went out. He got to ride Terrie's (new at that time) 09 Street Glide and got to see what all the hoopla was about regarding the new chassis/frame. He was there when we took the long ride up to Iowa Hill, during the Tahoe GTG. He was there when we all rode to the top of Pike's Peak in Colorado....when everybody else was telling us we were crazy to ride that road on our bikes. Memories.....
Similar to what I have with many others that have posted in this thread.....thanks to all of you for some really great, great memories!
