SantaClaus versus Police

One of our HOG-members was stopped by the police
on his way home from a fund-raising-event in a nearby
city. Now hes is hoping to get away with a small fee,
because in switzerland this could be real expensive!

I have a hard enough time w/English at times can you translate (give a summary) of what the article is saying... what he got stopped for... and you mention expensive, how expensive could it be if he does get fined.

Too many lights, the installation was not done by a professional,
he was "irritating" other drivers, because the took out their cameras,
to make pictures. In the worht case, he could loose his driving license
for 1 - 3 month. He drives all year thru. Payment around 500 Sfr, which
is around 500$.

It's a lot like putting out a blanket statement about all forum members here, it's an inaccurate and uneducated suggestion.

Okey dokey.  I sorta had the "All Cops" part but thought, since it was from y'all up north (Canada) and in Europe (Swiss), it may be "All Constables" or something to that effect.
